Climate and sustainability projects in cities span decades, cross every sector, involve hundreds of interdependent decisions, and involve diverse stakeholders who rarely share a common plan. Yet cities are the key levers for achieving national and global environmental goals. In this IPMA webinar, the Swedish climate tech company ClimateView will share how leading cities and national programs are using a digital platform to reframe urban sustainability as a coherent, systemic project rather than a fragmented set of initiatives. We’ll walk through the approach, the platform, and the project management principles that enable moving from strategy to measurable delivery at scale.

To ground the conversation in practice, Clare Wharmby, Co-Director of the Scottish Climate Intelligence Service (SCIS), will share how her team uses ClimateView as the shared platform to support their work coordinating effective climate action across all 32 of Scotland’s local authorities. She’ll share what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what other project leaders can learn from Scotland’s experience.

Clare Wharmby

Co-Director, Scottish Climate Intelligence Service

Clare is the Co-Director of the Scottish Climate Intelligence Service (SCIS), and works for the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, in partnership with the Improvement Service to support area-wide climate action across Scottish Local Government. Clare has worked for over 20 years with the public sector in Scotland and has partnered with many of the public bodies and support agencies to develop tools, training and guidance around climate change and sustainability.
