Food scarcity is a major global challenge of the 21st century, varying greatly by region due to weather, land characteristics, geopolitics, and economic situations. Vertical farming, or Ag-Tech, is increasingly sought to address these challenges with sustainable solutions. Vertical farming converges scientific research, technological and digital transformation, and entrepreneurship to enhance processes, improve output quantity and quality, achieve sustainability goals, and overcome region-specific challenges. This approach integrates hardware, software, and digital solutions to streamline systems, business models, and innovative agriculture, horticulture, and aquaculture frameworks.

As Projects Director, Ron lead the industrial architecture and engineering team in conducting feasibility studies, developing design constraints, and executing full design development of Ag-Tech projects in the Middle East. These projects utilize various technologies to enhance the farming of vegetables and seafood. In this webinar, Ron will explore the opportunities, challenges, and approaches in developing such projects. He will also share lessons learned and discuss how risks can be mitigated through practical strategies that Project Managers, Development Managers, and LDCs can offer clients.
